Cedar Brake Park is located on Hwy 105 West a few blocks West of Downtown Montgomery, Texas. The park was designed to be handicap accessible. It has lots of beautiful trees for shade, a playground for the kids, covered pavillion for large groups and lots of picnic tables and grills for families to enjoy a day of barbequing. The park was made for by the Patrons of Cedar Brake Park with the help of Sonya Clover who helped raise the money for the park.

The Patrons of Cedar Brake Park have chosen 2012, the 175th birthday of Montgomery, Texas, to introduced "The Pioneers of Montgomery" historical monument project. The Pioneers of Montgomery historical monument sculpted by Montgomery resident Lynn Peverill, represents the early folks that built Montgomery, Texas from scratch. To be placed in Montgomery's Cedar Brake Park, the lifesize sculpture will include Charles B. Stewart (an entrepreneur who designed the Lone Star Flag of the State of Texas and the Texas State Seal) at center.Lynn is currently working on a monument piece for Cedar Brake Park in the City of Montgomery Texas, which depicts the extraordinary people who built Montgomery. The life sized five-figure piece includes Charles B Stewart, the designer of the Texas Sate Flag and State Seal, a farmer, a rancher, a logger and a pioneer woman. Named “The Pioneers of Montgomery”. The project is entirely conceptualized by Lynn but is a community led endeavor.
