- One of its most attractive cities is a town by the name of Montgomery. People are drawn to Montgomery because of all of the things there are to do and see on and around Lake Conroe. People who want to come and hang out on the water or go shopping at the little boutiques in town are sure to have a great time but nothing is more interesting than learning about all of the history in this town. I am going to show you just a little preview of what you are in store for if you ever do want to learn about the history of Montgomery. Once you start going to the old houses and historical markers throughout the town, you get drawn in and you cant help but want to learn more. It is facinating. So, are you ready .
